José Pino
Bass
Zurich-based guitarist, composer and producer José Pino started off as a young singer and bassist in Quito, Ecuador, later mastering wind and percussion instruments and specialising in Brazilian jazz guitar. He pursued higher education in Computer Music, Music Theory and Composition at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. José Pino’s music is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Afro-Latin music, while it pushes the boundaries of electronic and electroacoustic music. The influence of his diverse experiences, including his time spent living in vibrant cultural hubs like Hong Kong and Shanghai, left an indelible mark on his artistic vision. José has earned international acclaim for his innovative compositions, which have been performed at prestigious venues worldwide.

Javier Leutenegger
Javier Leutenegger is a Swiss jazz pianist and composer whose energetic, swinging style and Catalan roots shape his fresh approach to jazz. Combining a strong classical foundation with formal jazz studies at the Zurich University of the Arts, he brings groove and melodic clarity to every performance. Javier appears solo, with his own trio, and with ensembles such as the Zurich Jazz Orchestra and the José Pino Trio, delivering vibrant interpretations and original compositions across Switzerland.

Heribel Izquierdo
Percussions
Heribel Izquierdo is an Italo-Cuban musician based in Zurich, known for his versatile talent as a percussionist, guitarist, arranger, and orchestra conductor. With a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Music and a Master’s in Jazz Music Education from the Lucerne School of Music, he moves fluently across jazz, salsa, rumba, timba, pop, and film music. Alongside his work with bands like Lele Gorri and the José Pino Trio, he also explores experimental soundscapes as part of a live electronics duo with Dudu Alvear — expanding his rhythmic expertise into new sonic territories.
