Chet Baker Tangerine Solo
arranged for 5 saxophones, double-bass & drums
2021  |  2'20''

José Pino transcribed Chet Baker's solo in Tangerine from the album She Was Good To Me (1974, CTI Records) and arranged it for five saxophones and rhythm section. Chico Macedo from the Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica Brasil masterfully plays all five sax lines, with Dimitris Christopulos at the double-bass and Daniel Bagutti at the drums.

Tangerine was published in 1941 and soon became a jazz standard. The music was written by Victor Schertzinger, the lyrics by Johnny Mercer.
